Are you ready for March Madness? If you plan on watching the NCAA Men’s basketball games from home, then there’s no need to worry about purchasing tickets. However, if you want tickets, you better hurry! At this point, securing tickets for the Final Four is close to impossible (unless you’re willing to spend big bucks), but if you want to attend the opening round, the first and second rounds, or perhaps even the regionals, you’re still in luck.
Key dates for 2010 NCAA Basketball Tournament
There are four key dates to keep in mind for the 2010 NCAA Basketball Tournament including:
• Selection Sunday: March 14
• First Round Begins: March 18
• Final Four Begins: April 3
• National Championship: April 5
Opening Round/Where to purchase tickets
The Opening Round is the very first game of the tournament and is played between the two last seeded teams, number 64 and 65. It will be played on March 16, 2010 at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio. The team that wins this game will be awarded the #16 seeded position in one of the four regions where the tournament is held. They will be paired against the #1 seeded team of that particular region.

The first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament will take place between March 18-21, 2010 at eight host locations across the country. To get tickets for any of these games, the best place to go is again, the www.ncaa.com website where you can click directly on the date and location of the game(s) you’re interested in.
The regional games take place between March 25 through the 28th at four host locations. Check for ticket availability at www.ncaa.com.
The Final Four segment of the tournament takes place on April 3 and 5, 2010 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The NCAA uses a lottery system for ticket allocation and while it may be too late to get tickets this year, your best bet is to check out how the system works for next year by going to their website.
