Terri Moss Kicks Off Busy 2013

Retired world champion Terri Moss is already making the best of 2013. Her popular Atlanta Corporate Fight Night returns for its sixth show January 24 at the Foundry at Puritan Mill in Atlanta. “Six shows in two years, ACFN has really grown, and the corporate fighters are really to be commended for taking on such an amazing challenge. The show has gotten attention from other cities so look for Corporate Fight Night to be on the road very soon,” Terri said.

ACFN has also garnered Terri several awards from the Georgia Fighters Association, including Best Local Boxing Brand, Promoter of The Year and Trainer of The Year. “I was really pleased about the awards, because not only are they awarded by fans in the Peoples Choice but also Critic’s Choice, which are my peers in Georgia and that means so much to be honored in that respect,” Terri said.

Currently Terri trains around 50 clients and fighters and will open her own gym, Buckhead Fight Club in March or April. Her work with women’s boxing is also the subject of a documentary and web series, both titled “Boxing Chicks,” created by filmmaker Frederick Taylor of the Atlanta and Los Angeles based Tomorrow Pictures. “ “The “Boxing Chicks” documentary is a 90 minute film,” Terri said, “ and it will be featured in film festivals and art theaters across the country. It’s a unique look that will hopefully change the perspective people have on female fighters and explain why they love and choose the sport of boxing. Frederick Taylor described the The “Boxing Chicks” web series: “Boxing Chicks” is an inside the ring look at the mind, body and spirit of women’s boxing,” Taylor said, “Terri Moss and her proteges talk, fight, and bond in a world of pushing themselves beyond the limits of anything they have ever experienced before.” “Boxing Chicks” web series will be aired on www.tomorrowpictures.tv.

When not training or promoting, Terri continues her work for C.O.D.A. (Champions of Dignity Association) and serves as coordinator for the GBU and the WIBF sanctioning bodies.
