Love is definitely in the air on the LPGA golf tour! In 2013, top U.S. stars Natalie Gublis, Brittany Lang and Morgan Pressel got married. And now, Paula Creamer, perhaps the biggest American star in women’s golf, is engaged.
Cristie Kerr, a veteran on the tour, became a mother for the first time during the offseason. Congrats to her!
It will be interesting seeing how these women balance marriage, family — and golf. Not surprisingly, male athletes are rarely asked how they feel getting married or having children will affect their performance on the playing field. Lang, who married Kevin Spann in the offseason, says she takes it all in stride.
“I’m happier,” she told the Golf Channel.
Its likely the same can be said for Christie, Paula, Morgan and Natalie — and that’s the most important thing.
“I think it’s good for your golf game,” Lang said of marriage. “Because you realize golf is a game, and there are more important things in life.”
Amen to that!
